Because the glass is doing structural work rather than acting as infill, the safety of the installation rests on glass type and thickness, on the base channel or anchor detail, and on the quality of the fixing into the slab. Atom Structures treats these as engineered items, not as finishes.

Stainless steel resists corrosion but is not immune to it, and grade selection depends on exposure. Sheltered internal handrails are less demanding than an external barrier facing weather and pollution. Grade, finish, and welding method are specified against the location, and the exposed weld finishing is what usually determines how a railing ages.

Yes. Mild steel safety barriers, machine guarding, edge protection, and walkway barriers are fabricated under the same railing scope, usually with a protective coating specified against the industrial environment they sit in.

Railings are quoted per running metre against the approved drawing and specification, since glass thickness, steel grade, finish, and the anchor detail move the rate considerably. Site conditions and access also affect installation cost and are assessed before the quotation is issued.
